Summary
It is Sunday morning, and Tammy Lamb cannot wait.

Tammy Lamb Goes to Church walks a young child through an entire Sunday morning, in warm rhyming verse, exactly as a child experiences it:
- Getting ready — the excitement of a morning that feels different from every other
- Sunday School — Miss Hazel Bunny, a song with motions, and friends to sit beside
- Big church — finding your spot between Mama and Daddy, the organ, the singing
- The sermon — Pastor Donkey tells the story of the Good Shepherd who searched for one lost sheep until He held her, safe and tight
- Going home — hugs outside the barn, and a bedtime prayer of thanks
At the center of the book is the moment the sermon lands. Tammy listens, big eyes wide, and understands something about herself: that God keeps her safe within His fold, knows her name, and has been with her from the very start. She promises God her heart to keep.
This is the third book in the Tammy Lamb series of Christian picture books for children roughly ages 3–7. Like the others, it is built for reading aloud — four lines of rhyme per page and a full-page painted illustration on every spread.
It is written for a specific and common need: preparing a small child for church. Children who have never been, or who find a sanctuary loud and strange, get a friendly rehearsal of what happens and in what order. Children who go every week get to see their own Sunday reflected back to them.
The book closes with a character page introducing the whole barnyard congregation by name — Miss Hazel Bunny, Pastor Donkey, Wise Owl, Roscoe Rooster, and Tammy’s Sunday School classmates Benny Bunny, Darla Duckling, Cody Calf and Polly Piglet.
